My dad and I went to Wal-Mart to buy relatives Christmas presents. I decided to wander off to the electronics section. I went to play the Xbox 360 they had there when guess what? You probably guesses already, I saw a $400 Xbox 360 (the good one). I ran across the store looking for my dad. Of course, my dad being himself, didn't know what in the world I was talking about. So I had to bring him there to show him it. We bought it (along with the other presents) and went home. My dad and I are reselling it on ebay and we're hoping to get some profit.

Great story huh? Fortunately for me, it's true.

Wow - out of the blue, not even knowing what it is, your Dad bought a $400 video-game system just because you told him to?

Trade parents? Please?

I told my dad to because we can get some good profit off these and that they will probably sell for at least $600-$700 (not to ruin the joke Megaton Cat)

Pretty nice dad. I didn't have hot water growing up. I'd have to boil water for a bath. The only thing I'd get from Wal-Mart were Rustler jeans *shudder* and school supplies. Now I'm the Godfather. Go figure...

Isn't "The Good XBox" a kind of ironic description?

I'm not sure I understand the point of this story...
$400 is more than what the R.R.P should be isn't it? Atleast according to what Microsoft said at X05, and if it isn't then hell you yanks are getting ripped off.

But whatever, personally if I could get a new console "cheap" I'd keep the bugger for myself. Then again that's probably just me.. then again I'm still trying to get used to playing all of the titles with one hand still. Bitch when you break bones

Personally I liked the one where they smashed up a 360 in front of a line of people who were waiting all night. Probably the same people who did the same thing with an iPod.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

That sucks. Who broke your hand? Money or anger? Mafia or bully? Too much chess, perhaps? Or typing misleading crap on these forums?

Ouch. Noob? I'm offended. Please explain that one, Jeku.

I think he's earned it. I've seen a lot of questionable things come from him. I see them as misleading. That makes me a noob? If respect is due, please tell me why, instead of just being condescending. I am currently unaware.

Well, you did buy it kind of close to Christmas. Nobody that bought it could have gotten it in time anyway.
Hey, watch out for your dad, he might not like the Oh well part

how about, buy a good pc so you can do everything on it like programming and playing games and paint xbox 360 on it.

a freind bought one and was really dissapointed with it,his pc was running games much better but with all the hype he went and bought one........now i think he wishes hed wasted the cash on beer instead.

i find it strange how easily people are led......psp,xbox 360, nintendo ( dual screen jobbie) and playstation 2,........why????????
if youve got the money for these things then why not just get a pc or laptop, you can do much more and just upgrade them when they slow down?????????? marketing and advertising companys really have an easy job nowadays..
when i was young you had to really think about what you wanted as youd have it for some time, nowadays money is too easy for people to get hold of.....that is until they really need it.

the programmer formarly known as thicko.

I would probably just need a new graphic card to have an XBox 360 equivelent computer, and that would probably cost me £250. But I think that Windows slows down a home computer anyway. I can't imagine running 'The Need For Speed Underground' on my home computer.
