Thought some people might find this a little interesting. I've always known about the SW Holiday Special TV Film that Lucas created but apparently destroyed (not after airing it on TV and selling a fair few copies though) because it was so horrible. I believe there are still a few copies of the video floating around on Ebay. Either way, I just came across a couple other Ewok spin-offs that look equally as bad, 'The Ewok Adventure' and 'Ewoks: The Battle for Endor'. Does anyone know if there are anymore TV Movies like this? I heard there's always a Star Wars Musical but I'm not sure if that's just a rumour.

Anyway, for a bit of a laugh take a look at these horrible TV Movies, make sure to view the trailers, they look terrible!

(Yes, apparently there was also a cartoon somewhere in this 'special'!)

Incredible!

Well you need to seperate those ewok movies from that holiday special travesty for a start!

The holiday special is just sickening, I mean Chewbacca's dad uses a porn machine in front of his kids, I don't know what they were thinking!.

I actually enjoyed the Ewok movies as a kid, they're not the worst movies I've ever seen, hell they're not even the worst Star Wars films I've seen, Episode 1 and JarJar took that crown!.

Must be some kind of anti-hotlinking thing, it should be fixed now, though.

Wow! I remember renting that so many times when I was a kid. Wasn't that the one with the large giant, and where the brother falls in the ice lake and almost drowns?

Ahhhh, the memories. That movie was a little scary when I first watched it

According to the website, there isn't a Xmas special. Apparently people get confused and think the holiday special was actually called the Xmas special. But they never mention Xmas in it. Came out around thanksgiving apparently. Luckily we never got it in the UK, probably because they would have released it at Xmas for us, but a whole month to judge how the US audience took it probably killed it off. Was shown in a few unfortunate european countries though.

Quite possible, although I read a review on the movie that said "If you get a chance, check out the Star Wars Musical also!". I guess it could be referring to the musical number inside the movie. But really, who would know?!

Don't take this the wrong way, but honestly, I don't think there's anything worth stealing on your website!

Ok, if the original Star Wars movies sucked, these have to be horrible... I mean, why do they always have this HUGE dance party at the end of every movie?!?!?! It really bothers me.

Ok ok, I'll admit Episode 3,4 and 6 were pretty decent, especially for their time (4, 6), but people really need to not be obsessed with the series.

Episodes 4&5 are two of the best films ever. (And thats coming from me, someone who hates 99% of sci fi stuff) The only real trouble with them is that Lucas felt the need to go back and change them, and has never released the original versions on DVD. In my opinion, thats a travesty, and the new versions went some way to spoiling the atmosphere and believeability of the films.

Episode 6 is also pretty good, but more of a "aimed at kids and selling merchabdise" kinda thing.

I don't much care for 2&3, they aren't bad, but the political side of things is no match for the hollywood wetern, pirate and samurai mixing operas of the "classic" trilogy.

Episode I sucked donkey b@lls and I won't have anyone say otherwise

I love all star wars movies. Maybe I shouldn't watch this.
It might ruin everything.

Well, at the risk of offending people, being obsessive about Star Trek is a lot more likely to make you a "simpsons comic book guy" person than Star wars, simply cos watching 6 movies isn't much of a task - multiple tv shows and thousands of episodes requires a lot more commitment to memorise and discuss

too true, especialy when the Trek universe is non canon (inconsistent) and so moral you just know the inhabitants of the federation would have died out from sheer boredom centuries ago, hell! even the holodeck is culturaly something that would have almost removed the desire to explore the universe, why do it at immense risk when you can live in any virtual possibility you or your race can devise for no risk?, I actualy don`t mind episode 1 of starwars, not even Jar Jar is that annoying, it makes it the start of a nice progression from a sort of silly happy go lucky utopia to a universe wrapped in a civil war, flippancies like Jar Jar fade out and are gone by episode 4, he has a short bit in clone wars and is at the funeral at the end of revenge of the Sith, I don`t get too Jazzed up about it, like Lucas said, its all those old Flash Gordon movies brought up to date, it`s meant to be fun, not a social documentary or a science lecture, I enjoy it even with Jar Jar (although it would have been nice if he was on the steps of the temple when Darth came back for the gorefest )

yousa notsa gotta dosa this Anikin!
ZZZZZT!
<thud..thud>
Vader doesn`t even break stride...half of Jar Jar to the left, half to the right

I dislike episode 1 on so many levels - Jar Jar Binks is only one of them. I find the whole story based around a little kid in a race thing pretty silly and a waste of an hour and a half. I am of a similar opinion with the first Harry Potter film - WAY too much of the emphasis of that film was placed on the Quidditch match. The format is to tired, bad guys cheating, underdog little kid wins, if I want to watch little kids pretend to play sports in movies, I'll rent Mighty Ducks !

but it does make the star wars series unique in the whole of movie history, it`s the only series where they went over three sequels and counting from episode 1 to 6 it got better as it progressed (although I was annoyed about Lucas cleaning up Han Solo in ep4 so he shot in self defense , that was too goody-goody .

Strictly they aren't sequels though as it was always planned as having 6 films. And yeah most of the changes lucas made were sucky - especially getting rid of the poor old style reebo band. Muppets rule!

Now we're going to tangle. I like Star Trek a lot better than Star Wars... but I love ALL sci-fi.

I'm not one for the prime directive though... especially since every captain in Star Trek totally screw over civilizations just because he/she felt like it.

I love Stargate and Stargate Atlantis too... can't wait for this coming Friday... new episodes!!!

I pretty much grew up on Star Trek reruns and because of that i've always loved Sci-Fi. I actually saw the birth of the Sci-Fi channel back when my family had a huge dish in the backyard.

The only really weird Star Trek is the Star Trek wannabies that make their own episodes... it's pretty funny most of the time:
