Just use the search box at bottom left of page and look for 'hosting'. Same question is asked over and over again and it's getting quite boring.

Happy Christmas.

In a word, No. "Good" and "Free" or "Cheap" don't go together in my experience. I've used various hosts, and found that anything less than £60 / year isn't worth the hassle. Then again, £60 may be what you consider cheap, and if it is I would recommend United Hosting (http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk)

If you're in the UK, try MyQth. Decent price, lots of space, lots of bandwidth, all the dynamic stuff you will need, very reliable.

I use supanames and they've been pretty reliable for me...

Commercially, the sites I'm in charge of run with Rackspace - they're DAMN good

THE BEST EVER IS [href]www.frihost.com[/href]
its free...
but you need 5 qualifying posts on the forums
websites have no ads on them
Example *my website* [href]www.gamecreator.frih.net[/href]

x10hosting.com

2500 MEG, and free. The only downside being that you have to "apply" for the hosting, so that they can check that you can spell. Also that they seem to have SQL problems (2 times it has happened, in 2 months), but thats going to be fixed soon.

@ JimB

I'm in the middle of setting up a web host especially for indie game developers, I'm pretty cheap and I am currently having various services developed for me which will become available to you for FREE when they have been completed. These services are going to make your life a hell of a lot easier as an indie game developer.

Anyways if you're interested chat to me;

I should have asked what services you need along with required storage and bandwith. Have a great day!

@ Dog:

If that question was aimed at me here is my answer:

The services I plan to offer will make the lives of indie game developers much, much easier. Obviously I can't go and blurt out all of my ideas and plans because that would be idiotic on my part. And if $0.99 / Month PLUS unlimited use of FREE services isn't cheap I don't know what is!

Hi, I am a pretty experianced webhoster, first off, 1 and 1 is rubbish, they pay to be no: #1 at the top of every webpage of every review...thats cheating.

Secondly, Have you not tried mine? (http://www.mgsolids.com)

If you like I can give you a free trial, no strings attached, well anyway have fun with whoever your with.

Happy New Year to you to.

1 and 1 may pay to be good, but they actually are. Not completely good, but better than mgsolids 100%..

Google is your friend

A Free Guide
Alot have buyable space/bandwith

But as for free hosts, I prefer
http://www.freewebtown.com/

2 Gig Per month, and 250MB, PHP and to have their mysql databases, and best of all, no ads. Don't use it as much anymore, managing websites is tedious.
