Radio was 1952 and telly was 1957 though George V did the first broadcast in 1932. Which was written by Rudyard Kipling.

Though I concede to googling 75% of that, I am appalled that I did know the telly one

While you're waiting for Lukas' question, here's one that's much harder to Google for...

There is a Christmas Song in which a young boy wants just two things for Christmas. What are they?

Isn't something to do with his mouth/teeth?

(I was in a general knowledge quiz a few months back. This question popped up then. )

That would be a triangular number series. If you arrange 877 people in concentric triangles, you'll get 385,003 points

Next Festive Question:

According to the bible, how many Wise Men visited Jesus?

yea i supposed that is correct. here is my calculation:

877^2 = 769129
769129+877 = 770006
770006/2 = 385003

3 wise men

EDIT2: It doesn't say any numbers in my bible It just says 'the wise men'. Assuming I have the right verse (Mathew 2:1 onwards)

Ok here's some trivia. No questions or answers, just a weird fact.

On talk radio the other day they interviewed a dude from the U.K. who celebrates Christmas *every single day* of the year. He's been doing this for over a decade.

He wraps gifts every night, opens them every morning, cooks and eats a turkey, eats pies, and watches the Queen's speech on T.V. every day.

He also drinks an entire bottle of champagne every night too.

He's spent close to 250,000 pounds on this.

Actually there's specifically three wise-men in the Bible who gave Jesus presents--- gold, frankincence (sp?) and myhrr.

Traditionally its three wise men, but the bible says differently (well, at least mine does)

The correct answer is that it doesn't say how many Wise Men there are. 3 gifts, but no Wise-Man count.

Any more questions, preferably that can't easily be Googled?

Ok, who invented red Santa?

Oh, and name the reindeer Santa uses (we have this one every year in work - anything to avoid, well, work)

Also amazed me when I was about 10 to realise that Santa is almost exactly Satan. Erm, in the way it's spelt obviously. Don't want to be fried for eternity in a few days

Red Santa was NOT invented by Coca Cola, it's an urban myth. Santa had been drawn in many colours by artists for many years before Coke arrived.

That was just bad wording, I'm sure he meant "who popularized Red Santa" or something. Coca Cola has been putting red santas all over the place as far back as I can remember, so it makes sense.

[edit] Well, now we know it wasn't Coca cola, so by elimination we know it was grandma.

Yeah alright, I mean the total image we've had for years now (1920s wasn't it?). Big fat guy with red clothes and white fur on edges, with silly hat and bells 'n stuff. And a white beard.
