I created a simple sword using Anim8or. I grouped all the object (only 5) and colored it with simple colors from the palette.

I clicked save as.. and selected "any file", then saved it as Sword.x

When I tried to load it in DB, using: Load Object "Sword.x",1 it said object cannot be loaded when I ran the code.

Everything is in the same folder, so that's not the problem. I even threw in the Set Dir command, just to be sure.

Any suggestions?

If you choose to save a file, the encryption has to follow a certain syntax, just like DB does with it's programs.

However, anim8or doesn't know what this syntax is(it's not on the list). This means that it doesn't follow the .x syntax either, and cannot be loaded. If you compare the saved file of anim8or with a valid .X file, you'll see that the structure is completely different.

How to fix this?
Save it as a .3DS file and use a 3DS2X converter from microsoft. (search the internet).

3DS can also be loaded in DB, but the loading proces is much slower than .X.
