Hi,

I would like to build a world map with the CShop and use it in DB Pro.
What is the best format for the import?
The X Export plugin makes only the ascii version of the DX format.
How can I convert it to binary format?
Or can I use the original csm file?

thank you

the world should be a .bsp map, that's the best (and pretty much only) option.

It means, I can't use the CShop for DBPro map editing?

And what is the best editor for the bsp?

I don't fully agree. CShop is a good and fast way developing maps for use with DBPro. You don't need to convert them to BIN format to do it either - check out the downloadable code on the downloads page.

Plus you can convert them to BSP.

GCEclipse:
Thank you for the informations but the example doesn't work 8-(
I would like to compile it in DBPro, but the syntax is maybe for the old DB...
The main source doesn't find the loadentities.dba include file... 8-(

Does somebody own a correct version?

Actually somewhere on the RGT tools forum is my rewrite of that code for DBPro. Take a look - this is a revised version that works in DBPRO.

For PK3: I understood that you place the textures in the same place as the BSP file and don't specify a PK3 in the command...but I don't use this method and maybe someone else knows about using Cartography Shop maps with BSP better than I do.
