Here we are again, and New years is approaching. Time to start thinking about our own Dark Basic Resolutions.

last year:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=44733&b=2

2 years ago:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=22428&b=2

I didn't really complete any from last year, but that's okay. Things just keep getting better and better as I gain experience, and not to mention accomplish other goals I didn't even expect to happen.

So here we go, my resolutions for DarkBasic products are as follows(in no specific order).

- Finish Normal map generator
- Complete some more great tutorials
- Finish my particle creation software(currently w.i.p.)
- Fully functional matrix editor
- Finish my interpreter
- Expand my C++/DX/OpenGL knowledge and build a nice framework

So go ahead, list yours(as many or few as you like), and let me know if you were successful from the past 2 years.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

I didn't actually accomplish anything this year. But then ,I didn't plan to do anything. Next year I will be a bit more ambitious:

Construct a very destructive biological bomb

Threaten the whole world to surrender(using the dangerous bomb)

Take over the world, and start my campaign against the penguins

Finally, I will take the last, inevitable steps, toward social activity.

Well, this year I made a Particle Engine called "Particle Playground", and I even got it in the newsletter But that's about the only thing i've completed fully this year.

Next year I wanna complete a game I work on. If I complete it, it will be one of my first real completed games! So I better gonna do it, hehe. When i'm done with the other game, I really wanna start on a top secret( ) game project i've been laying around without ever do anything about it.. Well next year I wanna get started on it!

[EDIT]:

Some changes in the resolutions

My resolution? 1280x1024x32 on 3 17" tfts

I also hope to sell many more copies of Quikly Studio, and keep adding cool new stuff to it, making models etc. Tis going very well at the moment (thanks to everybody who has ordered it) and hopefully the switch from EA to Fully boxed product should go without a hitch - I already have a date for the reproduction, and possibly also a good deal on a nice, high quality, thick printed manual (for an extra tenner or so) for those who liek books

Other than that:

1: I resolve to actually finish and release my first professional solo album - trouble is I'm too picky about my own music - it was meant to be out by now
2: I resolve to actually finish and release the novel I've been meaning to finish writing for what seems like an eternity
3: I resolve to make an amusing flash animation and release it, (whenever I see new ones becoming popular I always think "I could have made that" but never get round to it)
4: I resolve to always be patient with the wife and kids no matter how stressed I am at work and how hard they try to p*ss me off
5: I resolve to follow the doctors recommendations and stop drinking, smoking and doing illlegal substances, and at the same time not make it blatantly obvious to my friends and get laughed at
6: I resolve to actually start weight training properly cause ever since my mate died and left me 300lbs worth of weighta an a bench I've never got round to it...

[edit] lol I hope no-one reserects this post next year, as I know myself too well to expect any of the above to happen, as I'll be spending all my time doing the first, getting Quikly done and adding stuff to it lol

A memblock is like a data block that can contain alot of data, that's the simple explanation I don't really know much more about them, I haven't studied them enough yet.

- Get out of credit card debt (almost in the 5 digits). Living off a credit card for 5 months while working for free is *not* an easy thing to undo.
- Figure out another way to have a cashflow coming into the family.
- Since I just got hired at a company, I would like to excel and stand out to achieve vertical movement within.
- Find new hobbies that encourage healthy lifestyle without paying too much cash. Work has a great gym for just $5 a paycheck--- will have to check it out.
- Begin planning trip to either China or U.K. with the wife.
