load the jpg as an image and then paste it
load image "name.jpg",1
paste image 1,0,0

but if u want it to only show some of the picture behind 3d items, u will have to make a plain and texture it with the image instead.

hope that helps.

****edit***
See, i'm still a newbie, u can infact draw 2d behind 3d without texturing plains.

will draw 2d then 3d

is the default in dbp

Okay, I'm trying all of this, but it isn't working. All I need is the jpg to be infront of the screen. I think my problem might be I have suspend for key right after I paste the image... would that make it not work, and would it just be better to go into a loop that pastes the image, then if you press space you exit?

I don't have any Syncs in this area of code, so that can't be it.

*Edit*
lol, that was it, I didn't have any syncs there, I fixed it!
