No, I don't believe so...
Tridunaut merely comes here now and then and asks us to buy his models. Now I rember, He posted that midevil model pack, with like 6 real models and 30 different textures!

But tridenaut, if you are going to sell here, try to make things for FPSC. Or send it over to the DBP Areas.

Now I remeber again, you are a forum jumper, last time you said you just saw "Models and Media" and posted it here.

Those guns look awesome! Well done!

I think they will be alright to be in FPSC Merranvo .

I know THAT Ali M, but the fact is that you need to convert them, and set up animations, and other things. To GET them to work with FPSC. And since this is a bought set, you have to do it on your own.

Trid, post this in the general forum, the customers you want are over there (and they arive by the millions)

Or perhaps the 3D Chat forum, below the FPSC Fourms

It says that the weapon pack has been adopted to tourqe game engine. Does that mean they are still compatible with fpsc?

It means that the models have been converted to .dts (torque) files with .png textures. It wouldn't take much to convert them into FPSC, if they know how to do it.

If he converts them to .X and .tga (or whatever texture file) format, than it would be up to you to write the neccessary .fpe files, as well as the animation files, the HUD.x file (which you would need a modeler for to position the weapon.

Quite a bit of work, but do-able.

Honestly for the quality I see, the price is good. Even if it's just for the models and textures themselves.

Because there are more Torque users out there (I am one of them), and the Torque users generally pay a bit more for quality work.

they are in DTS format and 3DS format, so it's easy converted to X.

Tridinaut, can you sell them on Garage Games like your Medieval Pack please?

Yeah but you still have to set up animations and files.

When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

hi guys, we didn't know that we had to convert them to FPSC, I belived that FPSC would be able to read 3ds or obj files.

Yeah reason we converted them to Torque is that GG community is incredibly supportive and they buy our stuff. Some of you guys attack me here as soon as I post It's not like we are making tons of money with this. What ever we make needs to be split 3 way, and I get pocket money from this I've got a real job with good pay and this is more like a hobby to me and my friends.

If you get more supportive here I may invest some time and convert these and future content packs to FPSC

Or you could do it, for example somebody contacted me from GG community asking me to give him modern weapons for free if he conveted them to Torque which is how we got support for Torque. I don't have much time to invest in this since we sell it so cheap, so if someone really wants them bad and knows what to do to convert them to FPSC format contact me.

>Yeah but you still have to set up animations and files.

well if 10$ that we were selling them for is not worth to you, then you can try looking for some animated modern weapons like this addopted to games. I'm not aware of any. OR you could do it your self, first make the models, then texture them. That would take you days that you could spend on stuff that you are good at. I guess we could throw in animations in there but that would rise the price of this pack and not many of you here would have money to buy it...

You could probably rig these weapons in Fragmotion, using the skeletons and animations from one of the standard weapons in FPSC.

You can't expect model makers to specifically cater for this community, especially considering it's still pretty new.

The standard FPSC weapon animations are kinda specific - I imagine it might be hard to use those.

Niiiiice looking guns, I must say. But I personally wouldn't pay $30 to buy them, just because I'm adept enough at the 3D arts to do them myself, give or take a few days. But still, that's a fine-looking set of weapons right there...

I reject your reality and substitute it with a full-on, guns-blazin' video game reality of my own.

No offense because I admire the work you did and I would love having the weapons that you made, but the whole reason why we'd buy the weapons pack is because we don't know how to it on our own. At leasts thats what's gotten me so interested. If/when you finish getting them ported into FPSC I'd love to buy the pack off you, or trade my city pack if you're interested.

This is a very old thread, the pack is no longer discounted. I don't mean to bring down ChrisB's efforts, but as far as I know he didn't model anything; he's simply compiled a good set of free models from various sources on the internet, and is having them converted (with the help of others) for FPSC use for the community for free. It should be good when they're done though.
