Okay
Usually, you need to find a wireless lan place to have fastness. Anyhow, whatever viruses you can get on a pc, you have get on your PSP. Anyhow, I find it hard to use the net on the PSP, the PC is easier and faster...

If you check your email or anything else on the net, that trojen will see your passwords and username.

Also, spyware or spam will slow your PSP down. (well it may, not sure though.)

Well it is okay to use the internet, just be cautious on where to go. Or wait until Sony releases a solution .

I have a psp with update 2.06, and I download tons of crap on to it! Movies, music, pictures, but there is a way to get rid of viruses. Hook it up through a usb cord, and re-upload all the root folders with everything the system needs to run. Its just like reinstalling windows, only a lot faster, so if I were you, I would save all your PSPs folders on your pc.

P.S. I have had to do this before, because my psp was crashing and I had to add all my time, and date crap over again, but I "reinstalled" the psp os, and everything worked fine again. And by the way, put all your saved data on your pc aswell.

I've had a PSP forever, as far as i know there arent any virus's for the system.. the 'trojan' they speak of just bricks your psp, it's not something that can just creep onto your system though, you have to specifically download and run it..
