When a post has been on an area for a while, the folder on the forums page becomes red instead of the basic yellow folder.
Why is this?

Yup, back in the ealry days, with Megadeth, and Metallica, with abulms like Kill'em'All. But i listen more to Megadeth now than Metallica. I like their old albums, the speed metal albums. I like Iron Maiden, wich are Power Metal. And i like bands that revolve around these three concepts, like Mercyfull Fate, etc.

Not my taste really.
For instance right at this very second I'm listening to jimi hendrix.
But my all time favourite band are the darkness close second is jimi with his amazing solos.

but as I have always said everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I wont say anything about anyone elses tastes.

I love your taste in music. King Diamond rules(when hes in Mercyful Fate) Megadeth isnt so much thrash anymore.

Metallica have turned kinda crappy, their old stuff was great, but now, songs like St. Anger are just annoying, to think that the guitarist was taught my Joe Satriani and he never even did 1 solo in that song

If there are any icons that you want to know their meaning ... just hold your mouse over them. There will be a small caption that pops up telling you what it is.

It means something has happened in that thread that breaks the forum rules or the original author may have asked a mod to lock it. Only those with mod priviledges can post, or edit posts, in locked threads.

p.s. Sometimes a thread will be locked if a mod decides it is no longer any use i.e. a question has been asked and answered, but this doesn't happen very often because most questions asked here have different answers for different people's opinions.

EDIT:: If you ain't too sure about the rules have a look here.

The Darkness? Oh dear. My inlaws and their family live in Lowestoft, home of the Darkness. Most people there remember when they started playing gigs before they were signed, and they were universally mocked. Many of my friends remember Justin from school and say he was an Ahole too. I like the "I beleieve in a fing call love, jes listen to the rhythmn omy Har" song and didn't mind them getting popular as a novelty act, but seriously, if you like glam metal, why not listen to Queen, or David Bowie instead? Far better in my opinion Of course everybody's entitled to their own so no offense intended...

I really wouldn't call David Bowie metal, he's kinda poppy in my opinion. And Queen is more just rock. Ofcourse I'm no fan of either, but I've heard 'em. And they are definatly not metal.

ok glam rock then. And honestly, the Darkness are the same as Queen but less original

Of course I didn't mean Bowie or Queen were "metal" bands in the sense of newer harder bands - but then neither are the darkness, they are 70s throwback glam pop rock anthemy types, and not hugely good at it in my opinion
