hi megaton,

I would have sent you an email...but I do not know your address.
And I don't frequent this site nor forums very much. I could not find any search profie..if any exists...to see if you have your email listed.

anyway, my questions are these. I know you have made some models that are free to use. Yet, can I use your megaton cat...or the cat in the megaton?? Your avatar.
I have been using your avatar for some program snippets while learning and coding in the trial version of Pure Basic. Mainly, as a sprite and rotating it and zooming in the sprite and out. Your avatar is really cool too. I'll give you credit...special credit in the program.

If.....you allow me to use this avatar. I have a 2d/3d logo I'm working on that involves your cat and an atomic mushroom cloud. "Megaton Cat...the Kiloton Kitty"

cheers,

Captain Flash aka power mousey.

My cat Mittens says you can use his avatar for anything, as long as it's not a pornographic animal site.

thanks megaton

whoa!!!, what I'm doing with Pure Basic with just your megaton cat
as a sprite is wonderfuly weird. The small 3d engine contained in Pure Basic to manipulate sprites as Sprites3d is awesome. Rotations, zooming in and out, transformations, alphablending modes, etc.

Its even better than *cough *cough BlitzMax. When I learn some of the commands and functions of the Ogre3d engine I'll take the 3d sprite of megaton and spin him around and rotate the z-axis and turn the x-y axis of the plane as 2d into a plane and widen both the width and the height. So it will be like a terrain or landscape....umm like a floor.

cheers,

power mousey

It's ok to say that here... this is after all a Darkbasic forum.

cool guys.

just wait until Cobra comes out. it'll blow BlitzMax out of the water...or just plain blow it up.

I just hope it comes out soon for the new year. Actually, there is a few things I'm waiting for this new year:

(1) PS3 and Nintendo Revolution
(2) The second DBPRO book...coming this spring.
(3) Hellgate London by Blizzard
(4) Fallout 3...if it does come out
(5) Invasion tv series on DVD.
(6) and of course, the Cobra game programming language.

cheers,
