ok.i have an idea for collision with a .x world. if you used collision polygon, then wouldnt it be possible to position the camer similar to that of positioning it on a matrx? you could use this:
colly=get static collision y(ground)
if colly=1 then position camera x#,y#+colly,z#
endif

im pretty sure this wouldn work,but maybe we could build off of this to use collision with a .x world.

Have you tried that theory yet? You're not going to totally destroy Darkbasic if your idea doesn't work.
