Hello, I had made a cube out of 6 boxes and i wanted to combine all of the boxes into one mesh. I know there is the make mesh from object command but that only makes 1 mesh out of 1 object.





I thought perhaps i would be able to add limb and then glue the objects to the limb and then use make object from limb..ect., but when i try i receive erros stating limb does not exsist

i receive an error with the below code... it's probly not correct...

[edit] i was able to get limb to work, but im starting to think the limb command isn't going to help[edit]

You say you want to make 1 mesh out of the objects? That would remove all limb data and you would be better off to just make it out of 1 box. If you want to make it into 1 object however, you can use limbs.

this is exactly how i need to do it. I don't have to make all of the sides of the box individually just make the 2 objects ::sides::caps:: then add them all to the limb using for next loop(great time saver!!!)... then position the limbs, texture each limb with a for next loop,(scale texture as well)... I should then simply be able to use the make mesh from object, save it in .x format and the UV cords should be preserved..

Glad you got it working. If that is what you are after though, there are far more efficient ways to do it (less polys you can have 12 instead of 72). Have a look at these threads:

You will have to modify them to work with a box instead of a cube, but it is a starting point.
