Hi everyone! This year for Christmas I got a new computer, and the old hard drive is being wiped. I was just on the old computer, and I wanted to program something silly because it would be useless to work on a project. I started a game called Flower power, but ended up with a cool little demo.
Controls:
Arrow keys to move
space to jump
return to do a screen flash
shift to sprint
and my favorite: control to shoot ice!

download (.8 mb):

goal:
None. It's just fun to make ice sculptures.

Have fun!

That's weird, I haven't blinked for the last minute! Hmm...

Looks good, but perhaps you could make a game that isn't made from that DBC example

Maybe someday, but I made that game in about 15 minutes... The example just made it faster.

you know what, I never open bmp files off of TGC, but this time I did, because I like what you create And it does look very silly

Anyways, Great Game! Was really fun to play with the 'ice'!
Although, I did mysteriously fall through the floor

Very entertaining concept I must admit. Keep at it.
I uploaded a JPEG screen for you. Easier for people to see what ist about.

Ha ha, thanks pretty cool! Surprisingly addicting. I'd love to see a full game made out of it. And there's noting wrong with using that example as a base for your projects, just make your own graphics or at least use different ones so we don’t feel like we just loaded the dbc example with some modifications (even if that's all it is). Actually, this could be turned into a great mini game. Like I said before somewhere, you’re great at making mini games, almost all of which are quite unique. I'd love to see you build a game completely focused on mini games, like a string of them as in warioware, or a game where the objective is to collect all of the mini games, or anything as long as it's stuffed full with mini games!

Sorry for bumping.

This is an awesome demo!
I liked jumping while shooting ice
I also liked making ring stairs:

I liked making steps and went way far from the room over the walls!

I liked this. You should add some more things you can do, so there are more possibilities to make ice sculptures, like using a jet pack, or just floating off the ground. Can you also post the code? I would like to learn/mess with it.

Thanks everyone, I thought you'd like it. I just added a nice little touch: At the bottom of the screen, it shows the poly count and the frame rate. I also made a discovery: in dbc, if the origonal frame rate is forty-nine, and you have 270000 polys in the screen, the fps goes all the way down to 5!

Here's the link:

Edit: In this new demo, there's 2 floors also, so if you fall through you can get back up.
