I was wondering If I should ask my father for him to get me a DLL for my birthday in Feb. What is the most usefull dll you guys have ever bought? Which one does the best for iwhat it says it does? The Particles and Cloth? Can I make realtime cloths and flags? How about NGC? Is it really worth the money? Also any other DLL that you have found and bought, the one that is your favorite, give me your opinion for it!

I would see what's around in Feb. It only takes a few days to get a dll, so no need to order in advance

I know, but I'm just making sure ahead of time so I get a lot of opinions.

it depends on what you plan on most of your future projects being.

if you want to do a lot of software then i recommend Blue, if you want to do a lot of games then it seems either LUA (if i understand what LUA is correctly, i havent looked at it in much detail just yet), or a physics pack, if you want to make an mmo (ROFFLE!) then i believe ben is currently working on a multiplayer plugin.

alternatively, you could spend the money on a book teaching C++ and write your own DLL's, a much better long term investment imo. (probably just killed a few peoples businesses - oops)

While I'd never turn a customer away I'm sure it'd be better to wait until it's your birthday then choose.
