I am thinking of switching over to the Mozilla suite using their browsers and email. Any remarks for or against are appreciated.
It is supped to me much more secure and more feature rich.

Since it's free and a small download, I recommend you give them a try and have a look. I use Firefox and never had problems with it, but it doesn't seem to work so well on my dad's computer. People on this forum have complained about their bookmarks missing or something, but it's never happend to me. I say go for it.

Use Firefox and Thunderbird, NOT mozilla, firefox is by FAR much better

and you can also find a plugin for thunderbird that will let you minimize it to the Notification Area (next to the clock), much better there

Why is that Joel? I am still looking at both, Why do you like the separate packages better? Can you explain your comment?

WOW I just found out there are two very stong camps for Mozilla vs Firefox & Thunderbird. Lots of interesting reading.

I am leaning towards Firefox & Thunderbird.

For anyone interested here are the best Firefox plugins:

Firefox & Thunderbird are the best options for security, stability and compatibility. Unfortunatel theres an annoying bug where your accounts are suddenly not recognised (ie all your inbox, favourites etc suddenly dissapear) but its easwy enough to get them back it doesn't actually delete them

Thank you all.
Firefox seem to work great. I just installed the google bar with spell checker and looking at the other plug-ins.

Firefox - have a look at these plugins:
Forecastfox
Wizz RSS News Reader
Download Statusbar
Full Screen
SearchPluginHacks

I'd reconsider the Google Bar as you may have security issues with it.
Thunderbird is a very suitable replacement to Outlook Express.
As for other day-to-day software, you might also like to take a look at 'OpenOffice 2.0' http://www.openoffice.org/. This is an excellent office suite & also free.

I have an XP3000+, 1.5gb DDR333, a 6600GT and I'm programming 3k text-based exe's?!
