Well the question is - will you actually use/need the extensions?

I dont have the cloth and particle extensions and have no need or want for them right now, hence me not having them. However, if I felt I needed them I would get them.

You're in the position to save money if you will use them or waste money if you wont...

Personally I'd leave the extensions for now, see how you get on in your project, then decide if any extensions are necessary. There's a superb physics extension on it's way too, which will probably be expensive but it's a professional system the likes of which have never been seen.
