This is Packageman. You've downloaded this before(maybe) but now there are monsters and 6 levels. In the middle you see a number(the fps) and with 'c' you can change the camera. I want to know a few things, please answer them.

1 What is the average framerate at your computer(the limit is 50 FPS)
2 Can you finish the game(if not wich level do you come)
3 Are 5 lives enough or should I add more? Or less maybe?
4 Should I add more levels?
5 What do you think of the game in general?

Thank you very much for your time.

just downloading now... but I wouldn't worry about adding loads of levels to be honest, just concentrate on the gameplay, special effects code etc... I believe even a 1 level game could win if it impresses the DB Team enough.

cheers!

If you don't work for it, how do you expect to get it?

I'll try typing that one again:
I get various FPSs from 7 to 12 on a non-graphical-accelerated PC

when the background objects are visible I have 4fps
without background (so that I only see the player) I have 30fps

the system on which I tested it:

pentium3 550
ati all-in-wonder 128 (16Mb)

I'm still getting the same frame rates of 40fps maybe you could take away some of the trees in the background, did you compile it with the latest patch cos that would speed it up, still a very impressive game though.

Sweet

Thank you very much. I've made it with DBClassic and I think you mean the latest patch for DBPro. If you mean DBClassic yes, but I don't think that speed things. I've made a faster version, but I will first test it on a few other computers here home. Then I will upload it. I hope it will run fast on everyones computer(except 486 computers ).

if you want to make it playable on everyones computer, but also good-looking on better computers, you'll have to add some adjustable settings to control some stuff like screen resolution, mesh and texture quality,...
