Hi there, I have been working on this game for a while and I recently had a problem. All I did was move all the media files to a new folder to tidy it up a bit and now DB refuses to load some of my pictures.

The code, I have posted is a bit long but the problem is just at the beginning. The "warpin.bmp" picture exists, it loads and you can see it in the background. The problem is it dosen't appear on the file list and I get an error at line 58 saying the file doesn't exist! I've put the whole game up here aswell. It's the "new mr explode.dba" which is the current file.

I'm going spare trying to work out what has happened and if anyone can help I'd really appreciate.

Thanks,
Joe

it is possible that it`s caused by another problem (not that the picture dont exist) maby when you "call" the picture somewhere in the code you entered a wrong number or something.

ALSO , dbpro cannot read dba files with media , you must resave them to dbpro format.

Usually when you have "sync on" the line that gives the error is wrong. If you rem it off it'll say a different line (and sometimes it's the line above that line that gives the actual error). The file that doesn't exist is "title.bmp".

Nice effect with the background.

Thanks Grog, Ihad no idea about sync affecting the error's like that. I changed the 'title.bmp' and it's fine now. Do you mean the 3d spinning effect, i was pleased with that, so easy to do aswell.

Anyway, hopefully you should all see this in the WIP section before long.

Cheers

Np. Yeah that's what I meant... there is so much potential for 3D plains.
