I am very new to darkBASIC and need a little help.
Aside from DarkBASIC what other tools should I be getting?
Do i need an animation program for 3D?
Do i need to make my own images?
What should a newb do before starting this programing?

If anyone could help answer these questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Head over to the newcomers corner, and try and build pong... no media required, and is fairly simple - starting difficult will just turn you away from programming

...maybe one day I'll finish a project

If you start easy, you won't need alot of media.

Once you get more advanced, you can make some media.
In the DBP forum, check "free stuff". It's a list of programs that mostly can be used for creating media in DBP and in DBC.

If you want professional media, you can study it yourself, or ask someone else with experience.

It's the programmer's life:
Have a problem, solve the problem, and have a new problem to solve.

Work up a step at a time, or you'll never finish anything.

There's nothing wrong with not finishing anything; I (and a lot of other programmers) have spent most of my learning time just trying (and failing) to do large projects. Helps you get around and learn to use the commands.

However, starting small helps you learn *properly* and you'll actually have something to show at the end of it.

[edit] Oh yeah, and it's nice to see a nublet who knows how to talk properly. Say nice things to people and you'll go far. [/edit]
