Weird story, so I get an email in one of my 2 hotmail accounts (one for MSN and garbage, and another for school and more "professional" stuff
) with the news updates to all the Windows Live everything they have going on, and their online security thing was interesting, so I subscribed to the Office LIVE Beta newsletter using my OTHER hotmail account. and in there was this message, along with a hundred other messages from MS (thank you for registering Visual studio...):

Subject : Join the Windows Live Messenger Beta
Hello!
We'd like you to be among the first to try a new beta version of Messenger.
If you use MSNĀ® Messenger now, we think you're really going to enjoy Windows LiveTM Messenger. It's as fun and reliable as the Messenger you already know, and you won't lose your contact list or any other personal information when you try this new version.
blah blah blah
so I thought "cool, they're letting people use the new beta.
so I install and try to log in using my joelthebod@hotmail.com account, all to no avail, says that account can't login. so I tried the account they emailed that too, and BAM , it works! odd.
So i tried to find a link that i might've clicked to let me try this out. so I googled it, and everyone else has to use HACKS and stuff to log into the new version of MSN.
so now i'm too the point where I think i was "randomly" selected to use the new version of MSN. Why would they choose me? and why THAT account? is it because i've registered so many Visual Studio 2005 thingies?
anywho, MSN8 rocks, they've done some cool stuff with file sharing, shame no one else uses it
