And that, folks, is why I don't want to become a vet Animals are cute... as long as they have two eyes and a nose where it's supposed to be.

I'm not saying it is funny...
It is real though...it has been proven true by snopes and many other urban legend websites. It looks alien though...

My cat has no nose.
How does it smell?
Awful!

My cat has one eye.
How does it look?
Stupid!

Sorry. I'd actually love a cyclops cat - watching it dive for a little ball of wool, and miss every time!.

Yeah I know what you mean. It would be great to have a no-eyed human that you could tease for a bit then beat to death with a baseball bat.

.. No?

The cat's head looks kind of squished with only one eye.

Quote: " How has it been proven?"

There's actually a scientific term for this kind of deformity. There are other cases of this kind of thing. There is one that happened to a goat. It looked really freaky. There are also alot of other cat deformities, like cats with empty eye sockets, and two heads, and two pairs of eyes. They all look freaky

The cat doesn't have an eye-lid because the eye is too big. Normally cats are born with their eyes closed, but cats like this don't. Yes, this happened to at least another cat too.

Its hard to believe this kind of thing can happen...

I reckon it's real, if you're going to set up a hoax, then why say you 'kept the body'? Instead you'd say you disposed of it, making it conveniently hard to prove/disprove if it was real.

Yes. It is born with an eye where its nose should be, and it doesn't have an eye-lid. So, it can't close its eyes...

Aww, the kitty was so small and cute though. Would've made an interesting new species.. except of course cats can't really breed with themselves...... can they?

I saw a (stuufed) cat with wings once in a freak museum - that was COOL. I thought it was a hoax but apparantly it lived for many years as a circus novelty before eventually dying of old age and being stuffed. Not entirely sure I believed it, but it was COOOOOL so I want to

Animals are born with deformaties every now and again, its quite common for extra toes etc and the least common is multiple heads. I believe it happens through either a gentic problem along the same lines as siamese twins, or whatever you are wupposed to called them nowadays

[edit]
about the winged cat: a quick search revealed the follwoing information:
http://glenavalon.com/wingedcat.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winged_cat
Can't find details of the exact one I saw - I thouht it was in the Isle of Wight, can't be sure though I was quite young. The memory stuck wih me though, it was cool
