The cat's head looks kind of squished with only one eye.

The cat doesn't have an eye-lid because the eye is too big. Normally cats are born with their eyes closed, but cats like this don't. Yes, this happened to at least another cat too.

Its hard to believe this kind of thing can happen...

I reckon it's real, if you're going to set up a hoax, then why say you 'kept the body'? Instead you'd say you disposed of it, making it conveniently hard to prove/disprove if it was real.

I saw a (stuufed) cat with wings once in a freak museum - that was COOL. I thought it was a hoax but apparantly it lived for many years as a circus novelty before eventually dying of old age and being stuffed. Not entirely sure I believed it, but it was COOOOOL so I want to

Animals are born with deformaties every now and again, its quite common for extra toes etc and the least common is multiple heads. I believe it happens through either a gentic problem along the same lines as siamese twins, or whatever you are wupposed to called them nowadays
