im a freshman in college right out of high school but i got a sh*tload of credits from different ap exams.

this is my first year of college, i just left high school previous to this. however i now have 28 credits (16 from the equivalence of the Advanced placement exams i have taken and 12 from the first semester) and im taking 17 the coming semester, so Ill have 45 credits in my first year of college!

I've never really got the whole US Education system...

I think it's quite simple - once you know what GCSEs and A levels are (exams at 16, exams at 18). Pretty much it. Unless you go to a school where you do sats, that must be awful! Two sets of public exams is enough for me...
