Here's an idea: Add some kind of button that let's your mark a thread so that you can remember what threads you're involved in. When you only come to the forums once or twice a week like I do, that kind of convienice is useful and easy to make.

What do you think?

Here's a better idea: Come to these forums every 3 minutes.

I bookmark them (not the TGC bookmarks, the browser ones. The TGC bookmarks are almost useless since you already have favorites, and you can only have 10 of them Sorry, Rich ) I have a special folder in my favorites.

There's unpublished stuff that this forum can do which is much better than just bookmarks. Unfortunatley TGC got too busy with other stuff, so it's still unpublished

Well, the post count is unpublished...
And all the bugs and loopholes...

But, all the threads I really like get locked or deleted... Funny thing is, deleted threads are rarely locked! So you only need to save the link, and tell it to everyone! But will this be good, about as useful as the my threads collum in the end run, everyone will love it, then everyone will hate it. Sorry, it is just the way the world spits back.

Back to topic.
You can save any part of the TGC site in the favourites, by clicking on the "add" button found on the bottom left of the page.

I'm pretty sure that it was also available for the forums as in my favourites there is a link to an old forum thread.

P.S. the favourites page can be accessed from the top navigation bar, near the profile button.

[edit]
Thinking about it, maybe that option became obsolete when the MailBack was introduced. who knows

I know you can do that. Just though it'd be fun if it was set up so that it was built in.

And say, the post count isn't unpublished! Rich published it in the 'Top 50 Forum Dwellers' post.

Best thing in my opinion would be to change the "last" button on each thread to goto *your* last read post, not the last page (or have an additional button to do this). I mean it can be annoying to be part of a large thread, with many pages, and you go away for a day, then press the "last" button when you get back. If the posts have progressed quickly then you don't know where you were upto. Worse than this though, because the forum then records this point as your current "last" point, then you cannot find where you last were unless you remember. ie. all the new blue posts become white. Is totally annoying, and easily resolved as it obviously remembers where you last read to, as we can see from the "new" blue posts. C'mon Rich, you know it makes sense.... Damn, no pleading smiley.... oh yeah, and update the smileys to include an animated "Rock on" smiley and, obviously, a pleading smiley (just for these occasions).

Cheers

Ooo, I didn't know about that. 2500 for me. And everyone one of incredible and untold factual value. I have made everyone of your lives richer with my years of unwavering postal commitment.

A significant yet modest number, for a significantly modest man.

I have a suggestion: Edit Thread Topic. It'd be useful to change something to [SOLVED] when it's been fixed, and for other purposes.

No more posts with your post count in it, please. We had one of these a week ago, don't need to see it again. Next person to post their count will get this thread locked. Thank you.
