My favorite type of computer is that one that decoded enemy transmissions during World War 2.

I think it was made by Alienware...or was it Dell?

I like the Libretto 100CTs they are classic lil machines - I have one upgraded as high as it can be and I use it everyday for organising myself, text and graphics work

For older stuff the Amiga1200s are hard to beat once you've stuck a decent harddrive in them

My PC itself is quite cool - I could do with upgrading it but I really like my modded case - although last time I posted a pic of it here people thought it should join a pride march

The amiga's were the best. I remember playing games on a 7Mhz Amiga that friends could only play if they have a 486-25Mhz! The A1200 with a hard disk is was sublime.

I was actually very upset when the amiga line was halted. I think if commadore had got backing, there would be a 3 horse race for the desktop unit now, rather than the Apple Vs MS/IBM we have...

Absolutely - you'll get no arguement from me there, beautiful machines to use, and so much more efficient in the chip architecture and os that Pcs

Alienware pcs are very good quality builds, but overpriced for the spec - there are other manufacturers who make just as good and sometimes better pcs but sell them cheaper. They are excellent pcs though, no doubting that

I like the blue lights

[edit] "How much did your Alienware cost and whats the spec"
If that was aimed at me mine isn't alienware I built it myself, its quite low spec, P4 2Ghz, 1024Mb, 9700pro, 2xati7000, 160gb + 80gb, Audigy 2. I have 3x 17" tfts though along with nice logitech black wireless mouse & keyb + a huge pro amp and loads of big speakers (its main use is part of a recording studio) , so it looks quite cool

I personally love Fujitsu notebooks. I just got my S2110 from them, it's an awesome machine.

13.3" screen
4lbs
AMD Turion 64 (1.6ghz)
1gb RAM
7200RPM 60GB HD
ATI Mobility X200

And I actually get around 4 hours of battery life!

Well built, solid and FAST machine. The screen backing has no flex, so I can't make the screen bubble. The chasis has no flex. Everything is solid, along with a full size keyboard. PERFECT!

Anyways, highly recommended, I paid $1600 for mine.

P4 2.4Ghz HT, 512MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600 128MB, 19" Samsung SyncMaster 997DF, 80GB HD

Me? Hp. Perfect for what I use them for (not gaming): DX 9 programming, aimed at low powered PC's (though, I do have a nice Processor), Web Programming, and USB data. 8 usb ports, and only $800 for AMD 64 3000+! But I do prefer my gaming systems I custom build...but he did say who you like, and out of all of them, its HP

what? that is only a few minutes after cleaning up!

the way our house is, the kitchen, family room (tv room), computer room is all the same big room, so our main level is pretty much one big open room. so we have three computers running in here constantly, my dad HATES the noise of the fans.
so he's actually planning on putting the TOWERS downstairs, and wiring everything to the upstairs should be pretty awesome if we ever get around to doing it
