My phone is a Siemens A65. I've got a cable off ebay (dirt cheap), but every time I try to send something down it it crashes the phone and most of my PC at about 50kb. The MP3 is 141Kb and I have just over 1 MB of space on my A65. Anyone know a solution besides hosting on the web? (this doesn't work either - the phone gives me the error message MtFd every time I try to download anything)

Ah, I was hoping you would say serial so I could tell you to try adjusting the transfer rate.

Can you try it on another pc?

Also, does the cable have a part number on it?

Most likly its the phone or the cable, haha that dosnt help much huh?

I can tell you when i first hooked up my phone to my computer i had to go to my wireless provideds (sprint) site and download some software then i had to connect it to the PC then i had to go into the phone and find the option to "connect to pc" damn it....then my PC would show it as a removeable hard drive..

Yeah, my Razr thing can't connect to the PC and transfer files directly. If you hook it up to the USB, Windows will detect and install it, but if you want to transfer files to it you need to use the bundled software. I guess they have very different FAT structures and storage routines and probably can't just transfer files around like any other removable device.
