For some reason I have 590,000 hits this month! 59,000 last month. Don't know what happened there. You encouraged me to check. Weirdness.

Ahh! Delved deeper! I'm hosting freekin smilies for a mates website and its getting rinsed!! hahaha. So all my increased popularity is hot linking to flippin yellow faces.

Most popular file is my Revocide.wmv vid of me destroying my RC car on massive jumps. That gets about 1000 hits/month. Most of my hits come from my RC car stuff actually.

That's following by my tunes, the most popular of which is Time Ticks By (my hiphop tune) which got around 500 hits this month.

So nothing special, but for a website just hosting some of my crap, it's not bad!

If you've got stats software installed on your site such as http://www.spidahost.com/stats_awstats you get detailed stats history. If you don't your website control panel might have some kind of hits feature if you are with a decent host...

Megaton, you're going to die in the stinking pitts of hades!!!

This is a cool topic. I'm so oblivious. I just found out my cpanel has an automatic installed for phpbb, so I'm getting myself a forum on my site. I never bother to check that stuff, so this post has opened my eyes a bit.

:-( Don't get anywhere near that many hits on my site lol, though it tends to vary depending on if I've just released a new game etc. I recently got new hosting so the stats have only been counting for a week or two and aren't really representative of the month...The most hits I had in one day however are just over 500:

@DBMad - That shows us absolutely nothing on the amount of hits you get (aside from your current bandwidth of aruond 65MB, which is next to nill).

My average bandwidth monthly hits 2GB, which is relatively small. At peak times I've cleared 5GB, especially after the release of a new game.

When I put that Revocide vid online, I killed off 40GB bandwidth within 10 days (it's a 60MB video). It probably got streamed to hell also. I made the mistake of posting links to it on two really high volume websites. So I shelled out and doubled my package again to get double the bandwidth, and then the vid lost popularity, so I wasted some cash. When I dont have new RC vids, I probably use a similar amount to you: 2-5GB/month.

It's funny. I always assumed music and games would be the most popular thing on the internet, but RC stuff (at least on my site) absolutely blows it away. I get emails about RC all the time, a couple of emails a month about music and almost nothing to do with game dev. Dunno why that is. Maybe there's more to share in the RC world?

I actually get a lot of bandwidth used (at least to me it seems like alot)

nov - 23.23 Gigs
dec - 20.99 Gigs
this month - only 13.57 Gigs so far. (that's probably because i haven't released a game in awhile, which will change soon...)

i have a roomy 100 Gigs of bandwidth (all thanks to hyrichter!)

anyway, as far as hits... i've only got 18738 "traffic viewed" hits this month. (dec i got 37312)

Fallout - "Time Ticks By" Hey thats good! I like the rhythms of your delivery on the vocal, very interesting Vocal sounds a little like an East 17 or PJ & Duncan rap - but please don't be insulted by that - its MUCH better than them obviously Good stuff!

Watchet Nr Minehead - beofre that I lived in St Audries / West Quantoxhead. Mainly shop in Taunton.

"Thanks ... I think!" Yeah thinking about it those aren't people you wanna be associated with - I meant their slower rap tracks, probably just your accent/delivery as I said you are far better and more "credible"

That's a lot of bandwidth what site is it? Or can you say?

My site is getting over 100 unique hits a day on average that's about 4,500 uniques a month. It's not really growing though, I haven't been working on much to put on it.

The two main ones are:
http://www.pponline.co.uk
and
http://www.sportsinjurybulletin.com

Dont break em

The PP one is a site with thousands of articles about sports tips, etc and it also sells LOADS of books on the subject. SportsInjuryBulletin is similar but gives advice about the injury side of things more.

From that image it looks like you actually get a max of 114MB, not GB. It's 114046Kbytes max, which is 114MB.

Well, it's more to do with the fact they're engineered pop bands who don't write their own music and rap about young love. haha. But I still take your comment as a complement! I know you meant well!
