I was wondering if there were any good MMORPG's out there that don't have a monthly fee. I know that there is Guild Wars, and it looks like a good game, but it doesn't have alot of the things that make an MMORPG good, like player made weapons and such. So do you know of any?

I'm not who you think...

Not going to get any other results other than Guild Wars.

Gate To Heavens and Knights online are awesome. Seppuku will also tell you to download KAL Online. I do to, but i could never register because the page was broken...so i couldnt play.

Gate to heavens is awesome, graphics not that bad. Knights online graphics are little bit above origional everyquest and its fun as hell.

all 3 are 3d.

Thanks OddMind, I took a look at those and they looks good. But it looks to me as if those aren't commercial games, like they aren't being sold in a store, which makes me think that they probobly wouldn't be as high quality as something that is commercial. Does anyone know of any COMMERCIAL games?
Thanks again OddMind

i used to play knight online and i wouldent advise anyone else to, as its rather poorely coded and unless your lev 60 or an assasin with invisibility then you may aswell say goodbye to pvp unless you like to waste 500k to get more points to actually goto pvp areas, but the castle wars can be fun, and leveling doesnt take too long from 1-30 rest is a total drag like uhm every game.

Halowed are the ori.

There are Ultima Online freeshards out there, but you have to purchase the game initially to get on them. Here is one I used to play on --> http://www.aedilisreborn.com/

There's -
Endless Ages - cartoony sci-fi with magic, guns and jetpacks.
Fly For Fun - manga-cute fantasy with flying on broomsticks.
Second Life - completely user-definable and moddable 'sim'.

There are more, do a search on wikipedia for MMORPG list and you'll find a great many, listed by genre, price, etc.

go here http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/gameId/0

my recommendation is Guild Wars. Also that site has GW raked #2 in the highest ranked MMOs list

Yup, Guild Wars, here, too...
GW2 shortly...

Not Project Entropia - you'll get an urge to extract your plastic from your wallet on an excessive basis...!

Second Life. You get rated by other players, so in some ways that makes it an RPG, right? And the basic account is free.

free world is good but i jist keep loosing interest in mmo's after a while.

the only game that i can play for ages is Morrowind its not an mmo but very fun. yes it does have some of its bad sides like stale npc's (npc's in gothic games were MUTCH better) but its still fun

also about knights online, i played that a while ago it was fun, the graphics were god but the world is just so small i explored all of it in less than an hour then i got bored of it.

the only Multiplayer i play is Jedi Academy

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

I played Guild Wars when I took a break from FFXI. Its the most fun and best quality Free MMO I have played. But once my new laptop comes in im gonna start back up on FFXI so I have something to play at work. But I'll probably pop up on GW every now and then. If you get it lemme know, and we can play sometime.

Not anymore As of November 2005 the Basic account is free. You can do pretty much anything except own land with the Basic account.
