Hello out there !
I only wanted everyone to know that the work with the wrapper is continuing. Today I managed to compile and run the first sucessfull testdrives with the 1.5 core of the Newton system. (With a LOT of help from Master Walaber) I feel like a total noob everytime I have to ask him about c++ issues that I cant overcome due to lack of experience...

This one will be a total blast, specially the Vehicle system.

Prepare !

I'd like to know, does the wrapper and the original physic engine are royalty free for commercial products ?

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Freddix - Yes, they are, although Newton Dynamics like to know about stuff that you are making with their product.

Question: will old code written with newton 1.32 still be compatable with the new version? Obviously the vehicle commands will be overhauled, but what about ragdolls and the like?

It depends a bit, for example the vehicle, balance tires command disappears, and bodygetglobalvolume for example. So a bit of change maybe required, I will make a list if changed commands and such.

about 98% of the functions are unchanged, including the vehicle. only the "balancetires" function has been removed. everything else works the same, you just need to pass different parameters to get the vehicle to work again (changing suspension and damping parameters mostly).

Hmm, a beta. It only seems to be the plugins_user dll, is the Newton.dll the actual physics engine downloaded from the newton game dynamics site? Also, is there any log of the changes with this wrapper, it'd be nice to know a bit more (I'm pining for Newton 1.5 with DBPro!)

Newton.dll is just the pure newton engine.
The NDB.dll is the wrapper itself.

What I'd like to know from Kjelle:
Will the 1.51/1.52 version of the wrapper come out officially after it's checked against full DBPro Update 6.0 (whenever that gets released)?

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!
