This looks rather interesting, but too bad Win95 is too slow to be usable. From what this link says you can also run FreeDOS through BOCHS on it, that's pretty cool if you have a bunch of old stuff laying around.

Cool, I remember people trying to get Windows CE to run on the gp32, even though it supported RISC processors, it wouldn't run on the gp32's.

Did they only attempt to emulate it, or was some wince source modification done?

No, they tried to get it to run. Apparantley, it comes with some wizard which you choose the processor type and it generates a copy of Windows CE for you.

I don't know if they went further than trying different processor type combinations, but I don't think it worked in the end.

if they can manage a usable speed dos 6 with mouse and "virtual" cd support I'll be REALLY impressed. Usable Win 98 and direct x on a handheld would totally blow me away That'll probably never happen on the gp2x, but a sequel in a few years maybe, or the gpx possibly...

I believe some can - much like some cats like water.

I've got a Mobile 5.0 PDA, a 2003 one and have ordered a Mobile 5.0 Smartphone...

I'll be happier to see DosBox ported to it.
Mostly because of One Must Fall 2097, but I'd probably try everything I can get from the-underdogs.org.

DC emulator code size: 2.97B, 232,320 lines... yes, that went down. 15% done.
