if i load in an animated model from one of the dbp files, like the motor bikes, i can get them to play there animation, the spinning wheels, but every time i make an animated model in anim8or, it loads as a still model and wont animate, ive tried a variety or extensions, and am confused, also if you could mention how i can get it to keep the colors i give it in animator, because it always apperars blank. cheers

I have the same porblem with animations. But to get the colours, export the model to 3ds. Then load into some other package and convert it to x. Then load it into DB as an x file. I found DB dosn't like 3ds files and prefers x files. It is also alot quicker to load x files.

Does anim8tor export animation? Last i remember it can't. Also, the 3ds file format does not support skinned animation, only object animtions.

As for general objects, imo x files are the way to go. Do as Thomas suggests, converting the 3ds to x.

i think in anim8or u have to goto sequence mode and go to menu sequence\export and export it that way. I have never got it to work, whether it is a bug with anim8or or what i don't know
