My friend got one imported (how... I don't know?). I got to "touch" it. I loved it. It's much more comfortable than the original DS and it just looks so much better. God I can't wait to get my own.

...and even from those poor screens you can see that the ds lite is almost half as thin as the original.

the ds lite is awesome. And I can't believe your friend was able to import one... most people in japan alone are having trouble getting one.

Ignoring the fact that it was "supposed" to be 60% the size of the original? Yes, that's 10% from being half the size of the first DS. Those screens don't even come close.

look, it wasn't "supposed" to be 60% the size of the original, it is 60% the size of the ogriginal. They actualy have the measurements. Those are just poor screens. And did you notice how much brighter the ds lites screens are?

Edit: why are we arguing this? So the ds lite doesn't look that small in poor pictures of it, so what? It is as small as it's said to be, I mean they have the measurements and pictures of the measurments.

Megaton: Have you forgot about the fabled 3rd dimension of depth? Could it be possible that maybe the DS lite is thinner in addition to being smaller in width and height?

just curious, but why would you want the leangth shortend a lot? Then it would be harder to hold...

I never said I'm impressed, I just think they did a hell of a job re-designing it, and they did. I never said I wanted a DS mirco, and I don't.

And the psp and 360 have passed me over and I could care less about them. I'm only "easier to impress then kittens with cat-nip" when it comes to making stuff out of the ordinary. And thus, any improovments on something as innovative as the ds are pretty awesome.

i know im a noob but....


tell me about it. Im around this whole "popular gaming" deal on the internet and otherwise.

if I say "ds is cool" at my school then somone will say "ds sucks psp is better"

these "popular gamers" (wich Imo don't count as real gamers) also tend to want a xbox360/ love halo 1 and 2/are between 10-18 years old/want or own a psp/say they've played something and later admit that they haven't/say that Nintendo or sony is for 5 year olds/most are jocks/most hate geeks/and mostly there computers stink

I'm almost always right about that stereotype

everyone is entitled to my software.
