Tanner Productions presents...

Blanc Point: a paratrooper story
You play: A Paratrooper who's plane crashes in Austria. You are the only survivor
Your Mission: Get to safety, avoiding Nazi patrols and the German war machine.

Anyway, with that out of the way i'll begin by saying that this game is likely to be free .

Some of you may know of this game from the "Tanner productions presents...(2 games)" thread in which this was described as a little side project incase i got bored with sci-fi. However this game has turned out to be more of a test. I'm hoping to test new scripts, custom models and landscapes in this WWII game.

I've held off from making this thread until i had something substantial (more than just screen-shots)...and now i have!

I've been working on the opening cut-scene for the game and after several weeks, the first half is finished. I'm getting to work on the last half soon but i'm gonna look out for some C&C on this first.

As i said, the game is probably gonna be free so i figured there wasn't much point in putting 100% into the cut-scenes therefore some of the animation goes a bit wrong and you'll notice there are no shadows.

That said i'm pleased with the results. One last thing, there is a blank space in the movie where all you can hear is a V/O, this is where i'm gonna put some machinima when i find a screen recorder that doesn't reduce the FPS to 1.

It's zipped up and may need divx to play:
Here it is
Enjoy!

Technically its 2 but thats only because the sci-fi game is in the conceptual stage, this is my main project for the time being.

What did you think of the cut-scene?

Ever heard of a fan film?

There are hundreds of star wars fan films around made be devoted fans, they use his music, ideas and names and don't get sued. Lucas permits the use of the music, sounds and pretty much everything on a non-profit basis. So if the game is free, he can't sue me...even if he wanted to.

It's been quite along time since i last updated this thread, mostly becuase i'm working on other filming projects but i've worked out and successfully import terrain into FPSC. The "Tanner productions presents a sci-fi game" thread showcases this as a rocky kind of hill with trenches at its base. The first level of Blanc Point is set atop an austrian mountain (blanc point actually). It's snowy, sloped and the mission is at night so you'll not see much of it.

I'm having a few problems wih trees but i've got the german base at the summit mapped out (without much detail, no weapons or enemies) so i just thought i'd post a screenies. The level will be short and more of a tutorial level but it still important to put effort into it.

C&C?

P.S: Yes, the snow is mean to overlap as there has been heavy snow fall

Well, well, well...

Its been a very long time since i updated this thread. But fear not, it hasn't died. I've had qiute a big mental block designing level 2 of this game becuase its in a bunker and lets face it: Whats intersting in a bunker? But once i came up with some objectives i was fine.

I've mapped it all out and started adding entities, light-maps, challenges ect. So i thought i show you some pics of my WIP.

Screenies look good! But snow in those two exterior pictures didn't look real. It has to more brighter. Even it is a night.

Its just a level i made for the screen-shot compo. But, i did make a thread for it somewhere:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=77986&b=25

@johny English:
I wish you could speak better english, where are you actually from?
The for the statue, i changed the scale in the fpe and the police car came from DarkMatter1, a model-pack for dark basic.
