Hey, I was just wondering where the EXE goes when you compile it.
I would guess it goes to the projects folder, and if so, then I believe it isn't compileing at all. Which means theres a problem somewhere...

When DBC compiled it doesn't create an exe. You need to use Bulid EXE.

Oh thanks
I'm really new to DBC, my school just got it on their computers, so I get to use it every day! Yay

So, what DOES the Compile option do (F4)?
And whats the difference between Build Final, and Build?
Does the Build Final option pack all the media, while the Build dosn't or something? Thanks for your help, I really apreciate it

hm...I don't know. I always use build exe, and it packs the media, but I use Dark Edit, a different IDE, and it might make it final anyway, even if you do build exe. But yes, build exe does pack the media, and build exe needs the media. I think the compile goes through and checks for syntax errors...I think...

Ok, thanks. Say, where can I find DarkEdit? I like that build better, but I can't find it anymore.

EDIT: Wait, I found it

DarkEDIT is not a build of darkbasic, it is a different IDE.

go on to the "newcommers corner" forum, you will find many helpful things.

but contact me for the REAL way to make games/media applications.
