Well, bandwidth is dead cheap these days. Most of the top companies offering dedicated servers are letting you have true unlimited bandwidth for only around 60 quid a month, although it's only at 10Mbps, but 1&1 are the first to offer unlimited bandwidth at 100Mbps for only £49+vat per month. The days of worrying about bandwidth will soon be gone for everyone I think.

TGC's biggest problem I'm sure is the huge disk space that is required and the hassle of backing everything up.

Boo!

Thing is - has anyone found that 10Mb isn't enough?! 50Mb is lovely but could anyone on a standard broadband connection be bothered to sit here for 30-40 mins while 50Mb uploads?

ok so they would be like 97...

anywho the other day my d/l speed went up to 548 kb/s or so, it was awesome. I was downloading that shader...er FX Maker or something the nVidia shader program. either that or rendermonkey is 98 megs and it got done in like2-3 minutes! I was shocked.

Yes. I guess my team site uses somewhere not too far shy of half a gig storage space.

still , it can only compress maximally by 40 megs , and i said 100mb+ for only like 10metars ground and a few walls level (1 level!) , just imagen when you add much models , music , sounds , many pictures , etc.

you could eaven get 200mb+...
