I'm setting up a menu in 3D and I need to fit a matching sized object (in scale) to it's corosponding camera's size/aspect ratio.

I'm having problems calculating this, though.

How can I get it where they match up perfectly? would having the FOV of the camera help in doing so? I know it effects it, but I don't know which variable should be a constant (such as either setting a certain distant all object are from the cameras, or maybe set all FOVs the same instead).

All cameras very in size too, yet I want my button sizes and everything to be the same (matched) between them all.

right now I'm having to custom create all the menu objects and positionings to get things looking right, but I need it to be automated based on the Camera's aspect ratio.

I'd also like to keep all objects far from the camera and use a low FOV (if as much possible), as this makes the perspective... flatter - more 2D, which is what I'd like it to look most like.

And I have my reasons for using 3D instead of 2D for this though, so please stick to 3D answers.

Thanks to any that may can help.

Oh, and I've looked up tutorials and all posts regarding FOV and other camera problems/answers, but none have helped me in fixing what I need done - so I've finally decided to ask myself.

Still trying to find this out... but can't.

I can't go any further before establishing these settings, as everything will be built around them.

If anyone knows a formula fitting a certain sized object to a matching camera size, I'd appreciate knowing it.

Well, after a days work, I've finally got it working right.

I can now move onto putting content into my menu now that the size/scaling/positioning all matches up the same no matter the screen setting or camera setting thrown at it. Woohoo!
