I tried a web link to my avatar in my profile under "your own avatar", yet it only appears as a blank box with a red x in. i tried saving it to a storage device and entering the drive letter and where the file is/what it's called, yet the same thing happens. how can i put my own avatar on?

You have to have put the avatar onto the internet. You cannot use the forums profile page to upload an avatar.

any other websites that i can load my avatar onto? i only get internet access through my local library (for the time being, at least; i'll get it at home soon enough!)

imageshack.us is locked by the library filter, for some reason or another. they won't tell me why!

or if all are locked , open an account on freeware web site providers like :

www.freewebs.com
www.50webs.com

um don't use the freewebs for just image hosting they close the account you need like a forum or irc with them as well why not upload it to tgc in a thread then link from that?

thanks everyone. by the way, i made a VERY simple "test your reaction speed" program last night. the idea is to click the mouse as soon as it says GO! it will say "get ready..." and it will say "go" after a random amount of time up to 10 seconds (i think).

about 30 lines, i think. i tried compressing lines with spacers to make it <=20 lines so i could put it in the 20 liner board, but the whole program nearly crashed.
