I developed a product that allows you to make simple room segments from any textures without any hassle at all.

One: Pick outside wall, inside wall, and floor textures then name the segment

Three: And here's your new room segment you just made. It's that easy.

FastFPS will come with 20-30 original room/wall/floor textures to get you started (enough to make hundreds of segments) or take any bmp/tga/or dds files of your own.

I saw somebody had a segment pack with 30 segments they were selling for like $19.99.

I'll make this program with which you can quickly make an unlimited amount of segments for $15.00.

Can you make a demo that will expire after a few days, and only lets you make a few segments?

a convincing argument. seems like it would be a good value for someone who doesnt want to mess with the segment editor. have a website selling it yet?

Because no n00b is a good n00b.

It wouldn't be of much value to db pro users --mainly it just gets around the hassle of making your own room segments in FPSC.

--Oh apparently it has no problem with jpgs either

I wrote the whole thing in asm assembler code. Boy it took forever. JK it's in DB Pro and VB.

LOL that's Mercedes McNabb (Harmony to you Buffy fans) and Christina Applegate.

Can it handle doors also or just rooms? Regardless it's still waaay cool.

Almost. I'm adding the ability to make flats or rooms. That's all it does. Makes fully functional room segments or flat ground segments.

Its one of my better dreams. Will the final product include Ms.Applegate?

Pretty cool idea mate. Will help a lot of folks having trouble getting segements in.

Questions:
-Will you be adding different types of wall meshes? or ability to do so. ( I guess you would in time but thought I'd ask anyway)
-Can we set material tags?

peace

!

...OK flat/room switching works great. Plus you can zoom and rotate the preview with the cursor keys now. And here are the textures I'm shipping with it. All original 512x512 tga files. (you can use any textures you want --but I thought I'd just throw these in to get people started making segments quickly)

Just the simple flat mesh. If enough people buy this version and time allows, I'll be able to do a free upgrade with more options. I'm all about free upgrades.

Here's a tile floor texture I just made --and I'll put that in too. (1/2 size and low quality) but it looks great in FPS Creator.

I almost got a package done for the software.

I'm reticant to make a usable demo of any kind because it would take longer and I'd like to focus on making the actual product better with more media and stuff.

I could make a non-saving demo just so you can see how easy it is.

It should be up in the next couple of days.
