Hey,
Well I remembered a thread from a couple months back that was a "post your desktop" thread, where you took a screenshot of your desktop and just posted it up. I thought it'd be cool if we did it again, considering most people's desktops have probably changed, and I'm interested to see what kind of games/applications are on peoples desktops. So, anyways, sorry if this is considered a "double thread". I'll start us off, here's mine...

mine's the cleanest...

No recycle bin or anything.

I use my desktop like a real desk, it's messy while i'm using it (i put notes on it all over and stuff, download to my desktop).

then i delete it all, filing away important files

Here is my work one. Hmmm. Must unclutter desktop. Bit difficult when you are working though (nice and handy space).

Will change in 10 mins though thanks to auto wallpaper manager. Like constantly changing desktops.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Here's mine. Dual-display, completely black, no icons, and hidden taskbar. What can I say, I'm an icon-hating minimalist.

oh... btw... i wasn't planning on posting that pic... (i actually made it for a facebook album) ... i had taken a shot of my desktop and attatched it as a PNG... but decided that was too big so tried to switch to a JPG.. but it wouldn't let me so i thought it was broken and tried attaching that picture to see... then it worked and i was too lazy to switch back to the png so i left it (even if i wasn't too lazy to type all that out.. i dislike reaching all the way up to the mouse...)

anyhoo.. here's the JPG version of my desktop...

Yeah, I used to use Liberty a lot; it's what I learned to program in.
I have AOE II, but there's just something about the original...

Why do so many people have over 10 icons on their desktops? If you would only take the time to organize the Startmenu, it is 10x faster... unless you have memorized your desktop...

OddMind... may I point to a WinZip Self Extractor File Titled "Photoshop" and inquire what is inside it...

Because believe it or not, that is what desktop space is there for. You really don't know a lot about this kind of stuff do you.

Beleive it or not, If they are shortcuts, they should be in the startmenu...

If they are files... that is a different story. You want them there, you are working on them and all.

And believe it or not, I find it hard to believe that a person with 40+ shortcuts on their desktop can load their program faster then me. With a nicely formated startmenu it takes a second to get where I need.

No, it is actually FlyAKite for most of it, like all the Windows XP Themes, Logon Themes, the bottom dock came with it too, but I had to install ObjectBar seperately (free version) so I get the annoying thing are the start >.<

I don't think ObjectBar counts as a different shell, as it doesn't work when explorer.exe isn't running...

I agree with merranvo, it does increase performance, although my destop was trashed with icons, that because I've been installing a lot recently and haven't really bothered removing stuff, I'll prolly take the object dock approach again, that was a cool program
