Looks like the first cd's are going to be sent out on Feb 14th as planed, here is a quote from Sam re the cd boxes:
Quote: "The cases are really cool, I got double layer deep ones so the documentation and extra stuff fits inside. There's also expansion bays in the case so that when I release new stuff and important updates I can send you all the cds with an extra sleeve to put inside the cases which will work like a book! Its really quite funkeh if I say so myself "

I am so looking forward to this release.

Hey - wow thank you for posting about this, I was just coming on to do exactly that! I just realised I haven't been updating my stickies here, which I really should I'm very grateful for them - I'll be posting full details, many screenshots and the details for purchase etc from in the stickies, or perhaps make a new one for "Program Announcements" now, I'll ask a mod whats best.

Anyway many thanks for the kind words of support, I've had a brilliant response from the TGC forums, (just under 50 EA users from these forums alone! )

For those who can't be bothered to click links, here's the "prototype" box:

and me (sorry for the scary, "extreme lack of sleep due to dealines" style pics) with the real, finished product box and cd. inside the box is manuals, and sleeves to hold expansion cds when I do major updates

Cool huh? Thanks to everyone for their support and for anyone panick buying, tomorrow is the last day for the "sale" price (19.99) before it goes up to 29.99gbp. Email me with an enquiry at privateemail(at)quikly.com before midnight on the 13th to qualify for the reduction

Thanks again guys and sorry for the lack of "official" updates, I'm rushed off my feet writing tutorials, making examples and such - I WILL be posting far more details both here and on my own site on the 14th

This looks like a great deal, I just hope Kang makes his money back from all the thousands of hours of work he must have put into the product

Thanks Jeku - and thanks for the order!

Yes it is a great deal if I say so myself - my hope is that it will eventually have everything you could need for making games, all in the same price - its already got the game, level, model, terrain, texture and plant life editors, and theres more comming soon including animating, lightmaps and smaller things like ftp, file convertors and unrar apps

It probably has been thousands of hours, literally 4 years I've been working on this project in one way or another (it started off as a city racing game creator in dbc and went from there)

I may wait for the finished product, mainly because I want to see the full power of this before I buy. (as you said, you are adding stuff to it, so when a bit more of that is done, I will order for sure )

well I don't think it'll ever be "finished" in the conventional sense of the word because I'll always think of new stuff I wanna add, new technology will be invented etc. This version is easily finished enough to use to make a decent game, I just have a "wishlist" of things to add as long as my arm lol but thats cool I'm in no hurry, thanks for the support

The first few boxed versions have been sent out The rest should all be sent within the week (just waiting on more manuals)

Re the interim download versions, sorry I'm having vague problems with the liscencing, I forgot that it needs the cd to check the username etc before it installs otherwise it won't get past the installer lol I'll sort something out asap though thanks for bearing with me on it

HAhaha ok its 10pm on the 14th and at long last everybody who bought their EA versions now has a verified account and password to download their software. I haven't QUITE got the full k2dn section up yet, but the blog officially starts tomorrow (the 15th) with the full new site up, and guaranteed new content everyday (a model, peice of music/sound and a tutorial everyday , got the next 2 weeks covered! Smile ) the downlaod versions are still causing me gyp - I have a vague plan regarding that though, so bear with me. Either way everybody who has paid should now have their own log in details which should take them to a page with downloads, if not please let me know asap via email or pm. Thanks guys!

PS Shopping cart, features page, screenshots as requested etc up by tomorrow afternoon

PS Thanks Torrey I run a small comapny with its own record & dvd label and I used a contact that I have to get the boxes, cds etc made up. However I only really get the boxes and A4 copies of everything, I have to do the "hard" work myself. I have bought a CD printer for making the cds up myself however, and might also buy a copy of the printing equipment the guy uses, I'm sure I could do it all myself without having to waste his time Everything's great quality, but cheap because I literally buy the boxes, cds, paper stock, ink/toners etc by the thousand to cut costs The artwork and layouts of everything are all my own (the birds are a stock photos however) as whenever I get anyone else to do with it I'm always too picky
