So, I was bored, and decided to look through my old, first posts on here, and man was i annoying, lol. I'm surprised how much I've improved in programming and just..."maturity" i guess you could call it. I sound like the noobs I make fun of sometimes, lol. You guys really whipped me into shape it looks like
, but then again, all noobs who survive the often harsh beginnings to the forums (admit it, we're not all that nice to some noobs
), conform to the "ways of the forum", and learn how things work around here. So, anyways, some of my stupider threads...
Quote: "Does anyone know if theres a way to attach an entire folder, b/c I have a pretty decent game (at least its decent for me) and i want to post it but the media in the game are almost crucial, or everythings white, models dont load, sound doesnt work, and character doesnt load! So does anyone know how to attach and entire folder, rather than me having to rewrite the media part of my code and the take 2 hours picking out the media in the game? "
lol, decent? It was a bunch of boxes put together and textured with no gameplay
.
Quote: "This is probably the stupidest question in the world but im NOOB, so how do you create a seperate file, to run the game as an executable? "
then later...
Quote: "Uhhhh....I'm confused, , I've saved the source file, but once i do that and i open it from my computer but, it just opens it in DBPRO. PLZ help "
Lol, he said to open up the '.exe' file, but apparently i was too stupid to realize what that was, and kept trying open the .dbpro file
.
Quote: "o...and does anyone know if darkmatter lets u animate ur models? "
o? its oh..not o, but i was too lazy to type the 'h'. Ahh...the days when i thought you could actually MODEL things in Darkmatter, lol.
Quote: "This isnt DBPRO related but idk where else to put it but would someone recommend getting darkmatter or cartography shop 4 first? "
Only my 4th post on the topic. What a stupid question anyways. It depends on which you want to put into the game first.
Quote: "How do users select such little objects and manage a large project in CS? I've looked at a file that came attached to the demo of CS4 with DBPRO. Everythings overlapping and just a bunch of shapes on top of eachother!!! how do u manage it? like if u want to delete some item thats in a huge castle in a room under a desk? how do u find it and delete it without deleting everything on top or side of it? and the map i loaded was called level.csm if anyone wants to look at it "
Lol, yeah all those huge projects, so hard to manage...or not. It's called the Perspective View. Only makes since to CS4/WS owners
.
So, just thought itd be fun to look up our old threads and make fun of them
