Yes people - a prize. A prize which recognises my "high activity/low output" forum frequenting. I guess you could call it "all talk and no trousers", but I like the former.

That's right people, it's 999 days since I joined this forum. Admittedly, I probably received my copy of DBP before that point, but I couldn't find out the exact time when I installed DBP, so I used my forum-join date.

I've come dangerously close in the past to finishing something, like my famed vertically-scrolling shoot-em-up. Unfortunately, a hard disk crash put that particular project to sleep.

In an effort to celebrate my lack of activity, I actually tried to sit down and finish my infinite terrain project. Alas, when put into full swing, the frame rate dropped from about 800 to 12 fps. So, my aggravation is not just because I've acheived ball all (through laziness). No, what annoys me is the projects that I fervently try to complete even fail.

This isn't a post to claim I'm officially an oldbie - I'm aware there are older forum dwellers, lagmaster springs to mind. But I don't think he publicly maintains a romantic notion that he'll finish a playable game....

Anyway - I was quite pleased with my "laziness highscore" so I thought I'd make a post of it. Cheers...

Extreme understatment

Anyway What you guys gotta so is hire a Hitman to kill you if you don't work on one particual project each day. Then you'll either finnish a game or rot in your coffin. It's like a win win situation... kinda.

Adrian, you have such grand ambitions young Jedi. Your infinite terrain engine would've indeed triggered the appocolypse had you have completed it!

To be fair man, I've never completed anything either. Big fat ice football is the only complete game, and that's piss simple. Once then engine was in place, I just bolted on a menu. Done. Everything else is unfinished. The only thing I will finish will be ODF, and that's only because my degree depends on it.

So I relate chap! And I'm oldskool too! In fact, looking at the dates, I'm the oldest skoolest personest yet to post in this thread.
