Anything come out on the PC recently worth playing?

Need something to play, getting pretty bored here. Bought and beat the chronicles of riddick the other day (yes, in the same day... it was a very short game). Looking for something that might actually take a little time outta my life, considering i'm home for a while and have nothing better to do.

Preferably FPS or RPG, though if its a C&C style RTS, I don't mind.

Played FEAR yet? I highly rate it as an FPS. I lose patience with games really quickly these days, but FEAR is one of the gooduns. Also, if you never played PainKiller, that'll be on budget now. PainKiller and FEAR are the two best single player FPSs in my opinion.

I don't know if you just mean a singleplayer rpg, or if an mmorpg also works for you

but World Of Wacraft!

Okay, it didn't come out recently but anyways...

I've had that game for under a month now, and I really enjoy playing it! Just under the month I've had it, I've already seen new updates getting released for the game... So Blizzard is really focusing on the game right now. Thought I must warn you... Theres is valentine in the game right now... -_-' So theres alot of hearts and pink stuff But else I really enjoy the gamem hehe. It got alot of features! But you need to be willing to pay a monthly fee on it. But it can keep you going for months if you like a game style like this. You don't have to be affriad of enter an empty world... The game got 5.5 million players (All over the world that is)

You could visit their website to read about it... Either:

Fahrenheit(or Indigo Prophecy of you're an american) doesn't really fit the profile, but it's one of the best games I have ever played(on my Xbox!). Check it out.

I would recommend playing a game from 20 years ago called "The Bard's Tale 2". You can get it for DOS off of the internet. They say it takes 100 hours to beat.

I played the C64 version, but the DOS version is okay too.

It's a great game, where you build a party, and traverse through cities, the wilderness, dungeons and towers, trying to find all 7 pieces of the Destiny Wand.

It's a classic!

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (yes, by id software)

The graphics may not be the best, but the gameplay is excellent; few games compare. The only two games I play of late are this, and the original Age of Empires. You have to check this game out! The best thing about it is that IT'S FREE!

PS: it's multiplayer online only

I just borrowed KOTOR II from work yesterday and it's very addicting. So far it seems to be better than KOTOR, and sci-fi RPGs are--- well, cool.

Played the hell outta RCT 3... HL2 I beat 2 days after its release.

FEAR, I need to go back and beat that one, now to find my DVD.

The movies kinda bored me, sadly.

I'm Anti-WOW

Enemy Territory is pretty fun, but, played the hell outta that a while ago, not interesting anymore.

Bards Tale 2... you know, i may go and find that, just for the nostalgia feel.

NFSMW was fun, but it wasn't THAT fun.

Farenheit, that was my "game of 2005", great game.

I do play alot of BF2, you'll find me on EA Official West servers under then Name "EricT" or "LiquidzSnake".

@Megaton -

Pretty much nothing right now. I sleep, and I play games, and then when i'm not injured I go out and do this little thing called "socialize" at night.

erm...America's Army (not really new, but they have a new update ), hmmm...not much coming out, theres that new Star Wars RTS which i heard is pretty good, not played it myself though. Don't worry, we only have to wait...1 month and six days before "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", the best game ever made, ever to be made, and that ever will be made, will be released .

Cossacks: The Art of War (or Back to War)

Think C&C set in the 17th and 18th centuarys.

Brilliant games! They improve upon the original, not by much, but by just enough to make it worthless (multiplayer options I'm talking about). Not new, no. Tonns of fun though.

Cossacks 2 sucks though.

Call of Cthulhuark Corners of the Earth is a decent horror adventure with some action thrown in toward the end. Very very creepy.

There's always Kuma War, the free game that allows you to play scenarios from the war in Iraq and other insurgency events.

Try my game, "The Hunt For Osama".
(You know you want to shoot at Osama.)

It was created with FPSC.
It's only $5, so what have you got to lose but time?

You can find it at the link below.

How'd I know someone was gonna advertise their FPSC game in here... (not that I have a problem with the product, hell I enjoyed it while testing it, I just knew someone was gonna try to get me to pay 5$ to play their game...)

You answered the question yourself... 5$ and probably about 3 minutes.

@BearCDP

I heard about Call of Cthulhu, out for PC yet? Or just XBOX? (no, I don't have a xbox).

@Fallout

Been watching that project actually, looks hella good. Keep it up

@killswitch

Cossacks looks pretty cool, one of those games I missed the first time around. Gonna have to check it out.

It should be coming out in May. Got more of a freak out of it than I ever did playing other horror games (haven't played Silent Hill though). The focus on adventure and puzzle solving in the beginning is also quite nice.
