The admins of MunkeyNuts are finally putting to rest the community that Guy started a good few years ago. It's been a rough ride for the last year or so and I'm sure there are some people who are glad that the matter is finally being closed up.

Full MN Topic

Anyway I am posting here to say that because luck has favoured me in so much as the timing of this announcement I have decided to bring my own game development portal forward to help smooth the fading out of Munkey Nuts.

For now you can access Coders Turf via this URL: http://codersturf.stuffitall.com/

Some of the features of Coders Turf will be as follows:

* A comprehensive community.
* Software to ease the development process.
     - Team management software.
     - Project management software.
* Services to help you out.
     - Free professional web hosting.
     - Professional coding support.
     - Bug report management software.
* Indie game reviews.
* Competitions.
* Innovative methods to build a team online.
     - Cut the crap.
     - Online CV's
     - Manage everything online.
     - Split tasks down into smaller jobs and assign people to do them.
* Royalty free textures, music, sound effects and other media.
* Industry news.
* Industry job placings localised to you.
* Useful industry advice and papers.
     - Higher education routes into the industry.
     - How to get your games published.
     - Advertising tips.
* Interviews with gaming industry experts.

And thats just half of the list, I'm sitting here looking at another half A4 page of bullets that I haven't even typed in.

Thats just the start, a year from now my team plans to have a publishing company for indies setup and ready to roll. It's a great time to be an indie, don't waste your opportunity, or your life.
