I hear people say to make them in ASM... I assume it's a C++ like language so it's not going to be easy.

unless you have alot of time to invest into it, steer clear of assembly language(ASM), and just in case you were wondering what assembly looks like, here's a simple window from the iczelion tutorials i was doing.
