I'm afraid this is in DB1, but that's because of MagicWorld's incompatability with DBP.

I saw and downloaded this from RGT... not bad - althought for some reason the worlds is flat shaded white :s
aside from that is not bad for a few hours work.
Perhaps you'll want to team up with Crappycoder, as he has a pretty slick car physics engine - probably not be greatly hard to edit for motorbikes.

Like to see more on mecenaries, as it had alot of promise - just never seem'd to really have much complete

Woah, those motorbikes and racers look top notch, but your overall matrix resolution (textures and matrix) are way too low for them.

Motorbikes arn't Davids so if anyone is to recieve accolade for them, thank DBS's own ChrisB - there is another artist on the team (or atleast for DarkMatter i'm pretty sure there was), Rich lil help with the names
Oh well probably Chris's model ... and the textures are from the DBS 24hour Game Challange (still think its one of the better demos, and most unreadable code ever )

Oh that reminds me, someone mentioned to me a few days ago that a new matrix thing is being developed using my Mesh Function Library
Should be interesting to see the results as i worked hard on that library.

Mercenaries? Oh that's finished, just waiting for the CG artist to finish his work. Mercenaries 2 will be like "level 2", and Mercenaries 1 will be "level 1".

TM: Those motorbikes are from DarkMATTER and I am using them legally. Besides, I never said they were mine

And the flatshaded white? Move road.bmp from the /world folder to the root directory and it should work.

And now what you've all been waiting for!

IT'S CELSHADED!

Mercenary was in a VERY unfinished state last time i saw and played it - hope it has improved...
as for the models, don't think anyone is comdeming you about the models... they look great and they are there to be used and commercially if so choosen. I mean otherwise there would have been no point in them being made!

The bits remind me of Road Rage now - kinda sprite looking.

Everyone has mentioned "Road Rash" when they looked at this and let me assure you this is nothing like that (just looked at screens).

I stopped giving out Mercenaries demos as not many people would download the finished one if they saw an unfinished tech-demo.

Pardon me but what is mercenaries?

Anyway, nice looking game you got there, but if you want my opinion, ditch the cellshading, and make the sun less bright. Of course, I haven't actually played the game, so I shouldn't really say that...

well from what i've heard your onto Mercenaries2??
but you never finished 1... it didn't seem like much the demo either - i mean compaired to the tech and stuff you said was in it, seems a little weak
hoping after several months we'd seen some real progress

Well, I finished the first Mission of Mercenaries, and then decided to continue in Mercenaries 2 as with DBP I wouyld have a speed increase, BSP support and a much better "project" orientated environment.

Mercenaries 2 is really level 2 of Mercenaries, I just thought it would be time for a complete engine rewrite.

Mercenaries 1 was about 1,600 lines + 2 include files, and was just a but too hefty. It took so long that by the time I got near the end I'd learnt better ways of doing things so I finished Mercenaries and started work on Mercenaries 2.

And I think I'll keep the Celshading, otherwise I find it difficult to get amazing textures for the road.

Mercenaries is a 3rd person army shooter I made - I started in May and coded, and coded, and coded...

When I started I was not as good as I was now, so by the time I finished in early September it was a monster of a game. I'm starting on Mercenaries 2 which will be better coded, with include files used generously

Thanks indi. Hover bike? No probs. Just get me a model
