This is the complete Entity Maker utility used to create all of the entities in the full version of FPS Creator. With it you can make your own entity files. Also included in the archive is 20 minutes worth of video tutorials on how to use the Entity Maker. The videos are in Windows WMV format, so use Media Player to view them.

TGC made the Editor, not him.

@Ali M:

Thats my job...

@all

This looks pretty cool, but from what i can see, it dosen't have much in the way of options. So, Question:

Would you pay $5.00 - $10.00 for an entity creator with an excelant UI and LOTS of options?

Just asking, Cause to finish my Weapon Creator app, i need to figure out a bunch of crap, but this could be done in like, weeks ...

Actually, it does make Weapons. It does it great too. But Code Master's Weapons Creator program would be SOOOOOOOOOOO much easier. It would take longer to make weapons, but only by like, 2 minutes. I'd go with it.

When FPSC develops enough, lets make a Redwall game!

We live in the age of automation, you would be suprised how much people would pay for an entity creator with an intuitive UI and alot of options.

I dont like hardwork myself, i prefer drag and drop.. but cant have everything sadly =/.

but I would pay for an entity creator with features, especially if it had some of the following features.

option to apply tga, bmp or jeg with textures,
import of 3ds, x or obj
a preview window
object scaling to the fps world standard size... perhaps the background of preview window has a measurement background.
a thumbnail window of texture maps before applying them
option to save the models in a specified directory not Just user directory.

with the features of also the TGc,

putting out script file,
option to choose entity
setting material types and ect.
also dynamic .. explosions and yatta.. like the TGC one..

I would be willing to pay 20 to 30 dollars for such an app.

there is more.. but ill behave =) i tend to ask for too much.

I might come up with a freeware version of weapon creator and entitty creator like i did with segment creator .

But to inspire me , i would hafe to see that someone actually made a commercial version first...

Edit : I`m also panning , in future , to make a free character creating software.

I wouldn't mind the weapon maker either, But I think its more personal than that. Animations and design on the part of the modeler or if your doing your self feels like I have done a better job going the long way instead of a quickie program. However... If there were problems with 3DS files, COB to X with binary, ani and skins then yes I fully support the weapon maker. This is what were talking about right, Building the parts, making the tga/DDS animating then exporting the final model into FPSC in the entitybank directory or a directory we choose. Hummm. One of the weps for my game is a paintball gun that shoots toxic waste and has a flashlight attached to it. Flashlight will be hard with fpi but
the glow FX will be a decal. Ho no..A spoiler a sliped!

if your talking about my weapon creator, then:

Quote: "Building the parts, making the tga/DDS animating then exporting the final model into FPSC"

is not what it does. Its purpose is to compile the weapon fpi, fpe, ect, and copy all media to the right folder. While still easy enough for complete n00bies, it has LOTS of options to allow creation of tons of differnet weapons. Workflow:

1.)make model & texture
2.)load into my proggy
3.)set options, such as dammage, scope, ect.
4.)export
5.)Tah Dah!

My program will be very simmiliar , but it will export textures into .dds format , and you will also be able to select options like that and export.
