Anyone know an official name for these or where to buy them?

warning: possible adult-oriented ads.

I quite liked the stolen laptop video, someone is in ultra deep doo doo , I wouldn`t like to be in the same room as that guy when they catch up with him, it`s gonna be messy

Poweriser
or
Bionic Boots
or
Anti-Gravity Boots

Honesty, 3 minutes with google and I found not only the one you were probably looking for (the Poweriser) but two alternatives too. (Admittedly one is still in prototype stage).

Wonder if they actually "got this person", or whether it was all a bluff ?

Some things come to mind : Why didn't the lecture protect the computer with a biometric system + passwords ? If you've got a $1 million bit of proprietary information, you wouldn't just hope that Windows passwords keeps people out.

To be honest, you wouldn't really run Windows anyway..

It'll be a good line to use if my laptops get stolen again.

Big old bluff. I suppose it's possible they could triangulate the compo using the MAC addy of the wireless card, but the whole FBI thing sounds like a complete load of bull. Having said that, assuming it was a genuine vid (i.e. that was a real professor in a real lecture) it was pretty good acting!

Where's the possible adult-oriented ads, where's the computer, where's the fbi, where's the $1 million bit of proprietary information, where's the professor? All I saw was a video of some dude jumping around with pogo boots accompanied by lame music

read the ads on the side "Meet married women who are seeking romantic Affairs" yeah... funny.

Quote: "Honesty, 3 minutes with google and I found not only the one you were probably looking"

he was probably aiming more towards letting US see the video too...

I search primarily with yahoo, but things like pogo boots and kangaroo boots gave me ugly looking shoes.

anyone recall those Russian "seven league boots", they had a compresion ignition system built into the sole that fired when your foot hit the floor, people could walk around like the apollo crew, huge steps all over the place, I think they ran off derv or something like that.
