did you:
gosub _func_thns ?

to use your function, just where ever you tried to access it in your loop, just type text_level()
So far if that's the entire function, replace (GTREA) with () since you're not using GTREA anywhere inside the function. and wait doesn't need brackets either...

Unlike other programming languages where you must declare your function, before you use it, it Dark Basic, it must exist somewhere, but never run into it - otherwise it tries to do the function and doesn't know if it's any parameters missing, so it simply crashes.

A bug finder, you should really use DarkEdit. It's a better editor that should be already in your computer. It's in a directory inside your Darkbasic diretory.

I've attached a screenshot of DarkEdit.
